What are Terms of Trade and why do we need them?
Terms of Trade (TOT) are the agreed upon conditions for the exchange of goods and services between us, James Coshan Plumbing, and our clients(s). Our TOT includes aspects such as our payment terms, cancellation policy and other mutual agreements between us and our clients.
We feel that it is vital to ensure there is clear communication between us and our clients regarding expectations of a project. Our TOT aid in that by clarifying those expectations so that everyone is on the same page, which ultimately aids to help foster a positive and efficient business relationship. The following Terms of Trade apply to any work undertaken by James Coshan Plumbing and by choosing to work with , or have work undertaken by, us you acknowledge that you accept these Terms of Trade.
1. Scope of Work
James Coshan Plumbing agrees to provide plumbing services as agreed upon with the client. This includes, but is not limited to, installation, maintenance, repair and Replacement of plumbing fixtures, pipes and related components.
2. Quotes and Estimates
All quotes and estimates provided by James Coshan Plumbing are based on the information available at the time of assessment. The final cost may be adjusted if unforeseen issues arise during the course of the work. The client will be informed of any additional costs before the work proceeds.
3. Payment Terms
Payment for services rendered is due upon completion of the job, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing prior to work beginning. By accepting a quote or estimate and choosing to move forward with work you also accept the payment terms associated with said quote/estimate. Invoices not paid within the specified timeframe may be subject to late fees or interest charges.
4. Cancellation Poilicy
Once James Coshan Plumbing accepts a job, the client cannot cancel it without the written consent of James Coshan Plumbing and making payment for any costs and expenses that James Coshan Plumbing may be liable for as a result of the job being cancelled.
5. Materials and Equipment
The cost of materials and equipment necessary for the completion of the job will be discussed and agreed upon in advance. James Coshan Plumbing may supply materials or work with materials provided by the client, as outline in any Quote/Estimate provided.
6. Delays
We do not accept responsibility for delays in completion, and we reserve the right to pass on costs incurred as a result of events beyond our control, such as delays caused by other trades and the unavailability of materials promised by the client.
6. Liability
The plumber is not liable for damages or losses arising from pre-existing conditions, improper use, or factors beyond their control. The client is responsible for ensuring the premises are safe for work and notifying the plumber of potential hazards.
7. Access to Premises
The client agrees to provide the plumber with access to the premises at the scheduled time. We shall not assume responsibility for delays arising from limited access, which may be caused by the client or other involved parties. If access is not granted, the client may be responsible for additional fees or charges.
8. Privacy Policy
At James Coshan Plumbing, safeguarding the privacy of our clients and website visitors is paramount. We collect personal information, such as names and contact details, solely for the purpose of delivering efficient plumbing services and maintaining effective communication.
